It all started with making experimental short films in the Jungles of Oahu Hawaii. At the time I was serving in the US Air Force as a Chinese Language Analyst, and I would gather my co-workers on the weekends, walk into the jungles, and make movies.
After the Air Force I went on to study film at Wesleyan University in Middletown Connecticut before making the move to NYC with my wife Chelsea in January of 2023.
It has taken a few years for New York to show itself to me. I have had the pleasure of both creating and crewing up with some of the most talented and skilled filmmakers and crew in the city’s commercial and independent filmmaking spaces and I am excited for the potential of what is to come.
Deep Star allows me to engage with film and video, businesses and independent artists in a meaningful way that facilitates both client-based video services while maintaining space for artistic exploration and integrity.
When not on one of my own sets I also work as Gaffer and KG and have keyed three feature films as well as countless shorts and commercials for brands to include: Google, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany and Co., Nike, Crest, Home Depot to name a few.
*Currently my highest viewed video to date is a music video I lit for international Pop Artist Noa Kirel with 13 million views; shot by Eyal Baucohen in Brooklyn NY. Linked below*
